1960-1994 A documentary film released in 2010 directed by Asif Kapadia. This film won two BAFTA'S for best documentary and best editing both in 2012. The story follows  Ayrton Senna and how he won three Formula One world championships for McLaren in 1988, 1990 and 1991. The way the way the documentary was ordered and edited together using only clips for the actual races or interviews allows the audience to feel more empathy with Ayrton and his audience at the time. The various home videos used are effective in showing other elements of Senna life not to do with racing so that an audience can feel personally attached to Ayrton. These home films feature his girlfriend how we only see 2 throughout the whole film. Women are hardly seen in the documentary with only interviewers and his girlfriend are present. My Life in a box

My life in a box When deciding how to express my life in a box, I struggled. Much of my life can only be expressed through memory so for my Box I emphasised the one place where most of my memories have been made. Living in Cornwall the beach is a main aspect of many cornish peoples lives and has a strong effect on my childhood when growing up and that is what I wanted to show through my box.   I used sand and water to create imagery for my audience and allow them to think of any memories that can relate with the beach. On the sand there is a castle to represent many of the typical activities that people can experience whilst at the beach, additionally it was a large part of my childhood to  spend multiple evenings and weekends, allowing my imagination to take control. A bat and ball can also be seen on the sand this represents my sporting background as all my life I have been involved in multiple sports such as Netball, Hockey, Golf and Surfing. Throughout the Media,  Representations of women are  forever developing and altering to reflect the  cultural  and s ociological  differences of our world today.However, female  stereotyping in the media is now more frequent then ever which is calling upon the media stars of today to highlight this through their platforms. Beyonce 'the Global star' is  one of the highest- selling artists  of all time selling  over 118 million solo albums .Her Online appearance and presences allows her to spread her views on global issues including feminist messages with her 111  million followers.
